Terms of use

ModbusSim is provided for HVAC compressor control testing, simulation, monitoring, documentation, and engineering support workflows. A license key, trial key, or approved evaluation key may be required to use the application features.

  • Do not copy, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or redistribute ModbusSim except where a written agreement allows it.
  • Use simulation results as engineering test evidence, not as a guarantee of physical machine performance or site commissioning outcome.
  • Keep license keys, Machine IDs, project files, exported reports, and configuration packages under your own control.
  • Support may require the release number, compressor type, scenario, expected result, actual result, screenshots, logs, reports, or configuration files.
  • Pricing, license duration, feature access, and custom project scope may change before checkout or written quotation is completed.

Privacy notice

The website may collect name, email address, company or project name, Machine ID, support details, and message text when a request form or support email is submitted. This information is used to respond to installer requests, trial-license requests, license questions, support cases, and commercial inquiries.

ModbusSim does not need buyer card details for website forms. When Paddle checkout is enabled, payment information is entered through Paddle and handled under Paddle's own legal terms and privacy notice.

Requests sent by email or form may be retained as business records so support history, license decisions, and payment or refund questions can be reviewed later. To request correction or deletion of personal information held by Systèmes ModbusSim Inc., contact info@modbussim.com.

Refund and return policy

ModbusSim is digital software. No physical goods are shipped, so a return normally means a refund request and cancellation or removal of access to the relevant license.

  • Before Paddle checkout is enabled, trial and evaluation requests are handled manually by email and may not involve an online payment.
  • For paid Paddle orders, refund and return requests should be submitted through the Paddle receipt, Paddle buyer portal, or paddle.net.
  • Where local consumer law grants non-waivable refund or withdrawal rights, those rights continue to apply.
  • Technical or product-defect concerns should first be sent to info@modbussim.com so the issue can be reproduced or corrected when possible.
  • If a refund is approved for a paid license, access to the refunded product or license may be cancelled.

Paddle order processing

When online checkout is enabled, the order process is planned to use Paddle.com as the online reseller and merchant of record. Paddle handles payment processing, sales-tax handling, receipts, buyer payment support, refunds, and returns for Paddle orders. Systèmes ModbusSim Inc. remains responsible for the ModbusSim product and product support.
