6. Training — Teaching the Simulator Your System

Training is the process that transforms the Modbus System Simulator from a generic tool into a digital twin of your specific installation.

 

6.1 Why Training Matters

Every HVAC installation is unique. Generic equations cannot capture this uniqueness — only real operational data can.

 

6.2 Preparing CSV Files

Export historical operating data from your compressor controller. CSV files must contain timestamp and operational columns.

 

6.3 Running the Trainer

Training requires no programming: open Compressors page, select type, click Train Simulation.

 

6.4 Reviewing Training Results

After training, check state coverage. IDLE and RUNNING should have the most data points.
